Welcome to Yoshinkan Aikido Club 'Sutemi' Saint Petersburg

Yoshinkan Aikido Club 'Sutemi' Saint-Petersburg

In our club we practice Japanese martial art Yoshinkan Aikido.

The name "Sutemi" is translated as “Selflessness”(dedication) but in Japanese martial arts the word has a broader philosophical meaning. This is both the principle and the strategy of many Japanese martial arts, such as Aikido, Judo, Jujutsu, etc., where the word means: "give in for victory." And this principle, as well as possible, reflects the essence of many Yoshinkan Aikido techniques.

Club “Sutemi” is not accidentally called a club. People come here, united by a common interest in the study of Yoshinkan Aikido martial art.

The club has developed a healthy, friendly atmosphere of mutual support and complicity in the common cause. And this is very valuable, as it contributes to the rapid growth of the skills of those involved.

The club supports its members through preferential tuition fees and discounts on participation in seminars.

You will find a comfortable hall in the center of Saint Petersburg, equipped with everything necessary for training. Classes are taught by a certified instructor with thirty years of experience in teaching aikido.

Progressive methods of teaching aikido based on a methodically developed system under the guidance of an experienced instructor allow you to get results even for people with poor training or lack thereof.

Training classes are held from Monday to Friday, 20:00 - 22:00.
